Creative Arts

Flinders celebrates 20 years of students' artworks

The College seeks to enrich, support and nurture our students’ love of life by educating their hearts as well as their minds, fostering a sense of creativity. The Flinders Art and Drama Departments offer an extensive range of disciplines supported by a dynamic team of specialist teaching staff.

Students develop an understanding of Visual Art through expression in a variety of mediums, including ceramics and sculpture, fashion design, furniture design, painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, visual communication and multimedia.

The Flinders Drama Department connects students to their own creative processes and provides opportunities for them to imagine themselves as others exploring beliefs, feelings, behaviours and relationships across diverse situations. Our Drama students develop knowledge, understanding and skills in such areas as scriptwriting, directing, sound and lighting operation and, of course, acting, within a rich and exciting range of topic areas, complemented by co-curricular experiences. The collaborative nature of Flinders Drama provides students with opportunities to learn and to manage the interpersonal and intrapersonal skills required to work effectively, both individually and in groups.
