Matthew Flinders Anglican College opened its world-class Performance Centre in 2011.
The main auditorium can accommodate up to 600 guests in tiered theatre seating, 500 for dinners with formal table seating and up to 1000 for gallery or exhibition events.
The fully air-conditioned Flinders Performance Centre also boasts a Drama Theatre, tuition rooms, ample dressing room space, a Cafe, a commercial kitchen and assorted reception areas, suited to a wide range of events and functions.

The Auditorium
The main auditorium of the Flinders Performance Centre is a state-of-the-art multi-purpose performance and functions venue. The retractable seating bank provides versatility in performance style from a raised thrust stage for intimate performances to traditional music recitals, fully serviced formal dinner and dance concerts in a traditional proscenium arch theatre.

Foyers, Bars & Cafe
The separate Upper and Lower Foyers provide flexible spaces for functions and ample room for interval audiences. Both foyers feature bars and comfortable furniture in a modern setting. The Entrance Foyer also provides a Box Office area and meeting space for patrons. The Quarterdeck Cafe offers barista-made coffee and a wide selection of fresh foods to cater for your clients.

Drama Theatre
The Drama Theatre, conveniently located off the Upper Foyer, provides the perfect venue for more intimate performances. Seating up to 160, the Drama Theatre is fitted with a full lighting rig, sound system and dressing rooms. It can provide a second space for competitions or an Eisteddfod and be hired separately for performances or meetings.

Chapel
The Flinders Chapel is a charming venue for weddings, baptisms or music performances. Coupled with Flinders Performance Centre, it provides the perfect wedding and reception venue.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I place a hold on my preferred event dates?
Dates can be held for a period of 7 days. Bookings for the following year will be processed once the College calendar is released.
How long do I have the venue for?
A half-day hire denotes an event of six (6) hours or fewer and a full-day hire denotes an event of six (6) hours or greater, including bump in and out.
Is there parking onsite?
Yes, free parking is available onsite.
Can I provide my own staff?
We have minimum staff requirements for each event and space, however, you can provide your own ushers.
