Flinders students are well supported with age and stage appropriate guidance provided throughout the subject selection process. Careers Education is embedded in the WELL4Life program from Year 8 onwards and features the development of a Learner Profile, which allows students identify their personal strengths and weaknesses, and consider the implications of these traits for future subject choices, potential tertiary studies and careers.
The Careers Advisor conducts individual and small group counselling by appointment throughout the year for students requiring more specialised guidance for subject selections, post-school pathway decisions and tertiary applications. The Careers Advisor also co-ordinates visits by representatives from Universities as QTAC application deadlines approach.
