Flinders has been proudly supporting the Buderim Anzac Day March since 1990 and this year we are encouraging as many students, staff and Old Flinderians as possible to attend, recognising the sacrifices made by our service men and women.
Join us to march as a College community on Friday, 25 April.
The College is honoured to once again have our Flinders Wind Symphony perform during the March procession for approximately 30 minutes. The ensemble will be positioned at the entrance to the Main Oval of the Buderim Mountain State School (across from the Middy's group of shops).
Anzac Day March | Friday, 25 April
Meeting Point: Woolworths Carpark, Burnett Street, Buderim. Parents should note there will be road closures and the Woolworths Carpark is closed to traffic.
Meeting time: 8:00am to 8:15am. Please note: The March departs promptly at 8:30am.
Student Collection Point: Main Oval of Buderim Mountain State School at approximately 8:45am.
Students are encouraged to wear the service medals of relatives and if doing so, the correct protocol in this case is for the medals to be worn on the right side of the chest.
Anzac Day Service
The main Anzac Day Service will follow the March and will be held in the pine forest of Buderim Mountain State Primary School from 9:00am. In the event of wet weather, the service will move to the BMSS Hall.
We look forward to having as many students, staff and Old Flinderians as possible marching alongside veterans and community organisations on the day. #lestweforget
