Our annual Sounds of Summer 2024 concert will be held on Saturday, 19 October from 6:30pm to 9:00pm.
The annual Sounds of Summer is an evening-long celebration of the College Wind Symphony’s musical talent.
This year’s event is also an opportunity to celebrate Mr John Thomas, known as JT, who is the Co-ordinator of Band, Brass and Woodwind at Flinders and will conclude his time with the College at the end of 2024.
JT has been integral to the development of Music at Flinders over his dedicated service of more than 30 years and our students have benefitted from his expert tuition, care and guidance.
The concert will feature our talented Wind Symphony, conducted by JT. We will also farewell our Year 12 musicians who are set to graduate as part of the Class of 2024.
We are also delighted to welcome our Old Flinderians who will return to perform with the Wind Symphony to honour and celebrate JT.
