Students from our Secondary School Creative Arts Program presented two fabulous shows of restaurant theatre in our Flinders Performance Centre on 19 and 20 July.
The production was part of our 2023 Creative Arts Season and is a co-curricular offering at Matthew Flinders Anglican College.
True to its name, Medieval Mischief delivered a charming mix of styles and pieces (some hilarious, some nonsensical and others breathtakingly beautiful!) to entertain the delighted audiences of 90+ each night.
With the Sheriff of Nottingham hosting a talent competition, the audience were treated to solo and duet vocal pieces, contemporary dance, the Flinders Youth Theatre, the Man Choir, String Quartet, vocalists singing to an acoustic guitar piece of 'Afterglow' an Ed Sheeran song, a roving play and even a curious death-defying circus act and a kazoo band!
Guests also enjoyed a delicious roast dinner amidst the mayhem.
It was clear the Creative Arts students involved on stage and behind the scenes had a lot of fun making and presenting the show. They are stronger as a group and individually, with a host of new theatre skills in acting, music, singing, dance, comedy, storytelling, stage design and technical production.
Thanks goes to our incredible Creative Arts staff team. Our students are fortunate to have such passionate and experienced educators guiding and challenging them to get the most out of their creative arts opportunities.
A fun night out for all!
