Flinders Hosts Science of Learning Conference from 3-4 April 2025

Matthew Flinders Anglican College is proud to host the "2025 Science of Learning Conference - From Insight to Implementation" from Thursday, 3 April to Friday, 4 April on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

College Principal Michelle Carroll said the two-day event had been crafted for educators and school leaders who are passionate about leveraging the latest research to enhance their teaching practices.

"Flinders is committed to creating a high quality conference that will inspire, challenge and support educators across Australia," Ms Carroll said.

"The 2025 Science of Learning Conference will provide delegates with opportunities to learn from some of the best in the business, using the latest research on the science behind how students learn.

“Our presenters will get to the heart of the most powerful practical strategies we can apply in our classrooms to support engaged and empowered learners.”

The Science of Learning (SoL) is an interdisciplinary approach that combines insights and research from neuroscience, psychology and education to understand how children learn best.

This approach examines the processes underlying learning and memory, and the conditions that optimise learning experiences.

With the latest SoL research, educators and school leadership are able to understand how the brain acquires and processes information. This informs the design of more effective, engaging and inclusive learning environments for students.
