Matthew Flinders Anglican College has once again been ranked the best school on the Sunshine Coast and in the top 30 schools in Queensland, as revealed by Better Education, an independent specialist schools website.
Flinders consistently secures the top ranking for its region, in 2024 with a stellar score of 98 out of 100, earning it the position of Number 28 school in Queensland.
Each year, Better Education releases best schools rankings for Queensland, calculated using the school’s Year 9 English and Maths test results in 2024.
On Monday, 24 March, the Courier Mail published the results of an independent analysis to rank Queensland’s top high schools for 2024.
Flinders is also recognised in other industry awards, including:
- 5-Star Innovative School for 2024 by The Educator for the third year in a row, one of only 41 schools across Australia to be named in 2024
- 2023 Primary School of the Year (Non-Government) at the Australian Education Awards
- 2024 Excellence Awardee for ‘Innovation in Curriculum Design’ for bespoke Flinders Year to RISE program at the Australian Education Awards.
- 2024 Sustainable Programs Award for its unique Flinders Farm and curriculum programs by The Educator
