Matthew Flinders Anglican College on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland has been shortlisted for ‘Best Primary School of the Year (Non-Government)’ in the Australian Education Awards (AEA).
Flinders is a leading independent co-educational school of 1,380 students from Prep to Year 12, with the Flinders Early Learning Centre supporting families with children through pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs.
The Educator announced the shortlisted Excellence Awardees for the Australian Education Awards 2023 on Monday, 15 May.
The Australian Education Awards, now in their sixth year, recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of the country’s top performing schools, principals, department heads and teachers.
As an Excellence Awardee, Flinders will go on to be judged by an independent panel who will announce the final category winners at the AEA Gala Dinner on Friday, 11 August in Sydney.
Principal Stuart Meade said the College was thrilled to be a part of what are Australia's leading independent awards in the K-12 education sector.
