Join our Flinders Discovery Tour on Tuesday, 3 March

The doors will be flung open at Matthew Flinders Anglican College on Tuesday, 3 March as families are welcomed to the first Flinders Discovery Tour of the Secondary School for 2020.

Families looking for a quality education on the Sunshine Coast are invited to discover what makes the Prep to Year 12 co-educational College one of Queensland’s leading schools.

Principal Stuart Meade said the College - known for its strong academic results - is also rich and diverse in its extra-curricular opportunities and community service focus, making it a well-rounded and caring environment for students to learn and grow.

Mr Meade said many families were impressed to learn that Flinders’ graduating Class of 2019 topped the OP1 results in the region with 11 OP1s, as well as 9 OP2s and 10 OP3s.

“Our students work diligently and are supported by our dedicated staff team to achieve strong results that enable them to pursue their chosen tertiary options and career goals,” Mr Meade said.

“Matthew Flinders Anglican College is consistently ranked as one of the leading schools in Queensland, up with some of Brisbane’s top academic schools,” he said.

“We appreciate that Flinders’ academic strength is an important decision-making factor for families who value a quality education while living regionally on the Sunshine Coast.

“Our Discovery Tour on Tuesday, 3 March is a chance for guests to learn the many aspects of school life that complement our strong academic offerings.

“Flinders families will tell you that students also embrace the diverse and rich co-curricular, community service and leadership opportunities at the College.”

Tour guests will be updated on the College’s $30million Master Plan to enhance the learning and innovation offered to students in the classroom.

The campus is in construction mode with major building projects due for completion this year and in 2021.
