EPISODE 3: SUMMARY
Matthew Flinders Anglican College Principal Michelle Carroll is joined by Justin Hill, the Head of Enterprise and Curiosity in the Flinders Primary School. In this conversation, Michelle and Justin explore the value in cultivating curiosity at every age and stage of life.
Justin explains the myriad of ways we’re nurturing our students’ curiosity, creativity and critical thinking at Flinders, from the very beginning, in Prep, through to Year 12 graduation.
Students are learning to be curious in our Wonderarium learning centre and through our Wonder Lessons, as well as through our human-centred design thinking curriculum programs, I-care and i-Impact and in our new state-of-the-art Infinity Centre.
Justin also explains the growing research on curiosity reveals it’s a powerful trait that not only drives academic growth and an enterprising spirit but also underpins emotional wellbeing, and enables strong and caring relationships based on empathy.
