New families considering Prep at Matthew Flinders Anglican College are invited along to the Prep Information Evening on Tuesday, 28 May from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
The Prep Information Evening is an opportunity to hear from Principal, Stuart Meade, Head of Primary, Trudi Edwards and Head of Junior Primary, Chris Curtain to gain a unique insight into a Flinders education where students are encouraged to explore, supported to excel and are provided with extraordinary opportunities – and it all starts in the Preparatory Year.
Starting Prep is an incredibly exciting and dynamic time for our youngest students and their families.
Parents will learn that when you join Flinders, you become part of an important team: parents and educators working together to provide the best opportunities for children in all aspects of their development.
Flinders recognises and values the role of parents as their child’s first teacher and, therefore, the College strives to develop positive, open relationships with parents, building strong links between home and school.
At the Prep Information Evening you will discover the Flinders difference as we explain about our Prep Transition Program – a proven success tool designed to support children and families commencing Prep at Flinders.
The program involves a series of orientation opportunities – including an interview, morning visit and play, information session, a meet and greet, and a staggered start to the Prep Year – to ensure students have the opportunity to enjoy the transition to Prep with confidence and ease.
After a brief overview presentation, you will have an opportunity to mingle and talk with other prospective parents and College staff, including our Prep teachers.
Refreshments will be served.
Please register online to secure your Prep Information Evening booking.
Note: This evening is designed for new families considering Prep at Flinders. Registered families for Prep 2020 or 2021 will be sent personal invitations to upcoming events, and do not need to register online
