Business Diploma

The Business Diploma, delivered at Flinders by Look Now Training, offers students the opportunity to gain a wide range of skills and knowledge for a career in business, as well as expanding potential professional and educational pathways.

Students will gain:

• an understanding of business functions, such as economics, marketing, management principles and customer service
• specialised knowledge, which includes communicating with influence, project work, workforce planning management and business risk
• skills relevant across a wide range of industries
• high-level business capabilities.

The completed Diploma may boost your ATAR or you may be awarded an equivalent ranking for tertiary course entry by some universities. The Diploma of Business is a verified pathway with the University of the Sunshine Coast. Students who successfully complete the BSB50120 Diploma of Business with Look Now Training, may receive up to seven (7) credits against electives within the Bachelor of Business, depending on the student’s major. Other tertiary institutions may also grant Recognition of Prior Learning credits for students who complete the Diploma of Business whilst at school.

Assessment

Skill and knowledge are assessed in a number of ways throughout the Diploma course including assignments, observation, written assessment, practical and class participation components. Delivery will be blended, a mix of face-to-face, with classroom theory components integrated with practical activities that can be performed in the classroom, and online learning and assessment. Tutorials will be held on two days of each holiday period.

Fees

The Diploma of Business attracts fees that are payable in instalments to Look Now Training. The fees for 2024 are approximately $5500 but can vary depending on the number of students who enrol in the course and the number of face-to-face hours.
