Year 10 Design

In Year 10 Design, students dive into the world of brainstorming, sketching, and creating. It's all about developing interesting concepts and making them happen.

Students tackle real-world problems and come up with innovative solutions using design thinking. Whether it's something that affects them more locally or is a national or global challenge, students get to explore and create.

In this course students will:

• Discover needs and opportunities around them and beyond.

• Develop interesting proposals and build prototypes.

• Work solo and team up with classmates to boost their creativity and critical thinking.

• Develop their sketching and communication skills to bring ideas to life.

Pathways

This subject provides a foundation for further studies of Design in Years 11 and 12. The skills developed may also have application to other (Humanities/Science/ Arts/Technology) subjects. For pathways beyond school, please refer to the senior course descriptions.
