In Year 7 Art students venture out into the environment and connect with different aspects of our surroundings to inspire their imagination. Through this stimulus a foundation of skills in 2D, 3D and time-based media are explored through an experimental folio. Students consider different perspectives to develop and expand perceptual, conceptual and cultural understanding, critical reasoning and practical skills.
Inspired by our surroundings and the Flinders Farm, students produce an experimental folio of works through observing the animals, plants and insects and extending ideas into imagined worlds. Year 7 students build a foundation of Art skills in 2D, 3D and or 4D (time-based) media through experimental and cumulative responses to the stimulus.
Viewpoint question: How does the real world fuel an artists imagination?
