Year 9 - Agri-Business

From the humble beginnings of seed planting to the buzzing of bees in the hive, agriculture is being revolutionised by innovative technologies, new scientific understanding and sustainable practices. The fusion of agricultural science with business principles has given rise to ‘Agripreneurship’, attracting significant investment from both local communities and global corporations. In this collaboration between Agricultural Science and Business Enterprise, students will explore the multifaceted world of AgriBusiness.

Students will delve into the regenerative practices of our school farm, which boasts a variety of ventures including egg production, vegetable farming, beekeeping, carbon sequestration, compost creation, worm farming, biofertilizer production and much more. They will learn about the role of entrepreneurship in agriculture, the impact of social and business innovation, ethical decision-making in farming, and the importance of financial literacy in running a successful AgriBusiness.
