Year 9 Game Development

Subject Description

What is your favourite computer or console game? Why? How do you think the game developers made these games? Welcome to the world of Game Development Adventure! In this course, students will embark on an exciting journey into the realm of game design and programming. From crafting epic quests to designing challenging parkour courses, students will learn to unleash their creativity and bring their wildest gaming ideas to life. Students will use industry software that contains all the elements necessary to create their own game while learning about object-oriented programming. Students will analyse existing games on multiple platforms, consider the psychology of gaming, the integration of A.I. and develop games in 3D. The course will develop student programming and project management skills.
