The conference is crafted for educators and school leaders across the Prep-to-Year 12 curriculum and delves into the hot topic of Science of Learning, which combines neuroscience, psychology and education to understand how children learn best.

College Principal Michelle Carroll said, “We are expecting our two-day Science of Learning Conference to be a great success as the early interest has been strong.

“More than 250 motivated educators from across Australia registered for our early bird ticket release, clearly intrigued by the opportunity to learn the latest research and actionable strategies from the impressive line-up of keynote speakers.

“Speakers include Dr Jared Cooney Horvath, a world leader in educational neuroscience; Dr John Sweller, the architect of Cognitive Load Theory; and Bronwyn Ryrie Jones, an expert in learning design and pedagogy."

Science of Learning (SoL) is an interdisciplinary approach that examines the processes underlying learning and memory, and the conditions that optimise learning experiences.

With the latest SoL research, educators and school leadership are able to understand how the brain acquires and processes information, so there can be more effective, engaging and inclusive learning environments for students.
